Respiratory Appt
Was with Dr Mariko, Consultant & Director of Pulmonary Function Laboratory and Asthma Programme SGH. Her peranakan designer pen & beaded purse attracted my attention, must be very dear. She's a nice young lady doctor.
Ordered Sputum, AFB (acid-fast bacilli) & Mycobateria test. Did a check on me & medical history, precribed me medicines.
Yesterday the nurse told me to collect consecutive days, however, I asked another nurse told me need not as I can't spit out my phlegm, so long got a period of 2 weeks for the results to be out before my next appointment will do.
Went to housemen canteen, bought masala dosai & vadaai for my breakfast. Took cab again to work & had a quick breakfast. Very delicious lor!!

thurs 21 oct, appt with Dr Lee was good. I can even borrow books from LIFE centre. Fri appt at Clinic L Gastro, diagnosed with Dysphagia & Irritable bowel syndrome & that means more medicines to take! :(

Opening of Art Exhibition - "Mind Painters"
In commemoration of World Mental Health Day 2010, Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH) together with Very Special Arts Singapore (VSA) will be organising an Art Exhibition entitled "Mind Painters Art Exhibition". The art exhibition will showcase works by both local and overseas artists (from Hong Kong and Japan), who are recovering from mental illness.
SAMH warmly invites you to participate in this event to be held on the 09 October at Singapore Art Museum @ 8Q Museum Level 2 ("Programme Space").

Health Updates
Yesterday visit to SGH - diabetes Ctr & ENT depts, don't spell good.
Dr Tan, my endocrinologist refer me to see Respiratory & Gastronomy docs which are scheduled on 22nd & 25th Oct. He ordered for an immediate chest x-ray yesterday. I had difficulty swallowing of late & chronic cough >1 month. There's infection, throat seems very red to him.
At ENT, was told to go back at 2p.m. as they hvn't got my file (still at diabetes ctr). Seen by MO indian lady doctor Mahala whom is well versed. A scope detected I've enlarged adenoids which obstruct my breathing & ringing sound in ears. Could be due to allergy or infection. Normally adenoids enlarge when children is in growing stage but not for me. Ordered blood test (2 wks before the VBTs.) to track any defects & 2 tests-VBT scheduled early dec. She passed me info on GERD.

WTH
Tdy, went to see neuro & was prescribed Prednisolone &; Caffeine Ergotarmine. http://www.patient.co.uk/medicine/Prednisolone.htm
When collecting medications, I asked pharmacist nicely how come Caffeine Ergotarmine only 40 tabs thou takn when neccessary & then my TCU was 2 mths.
She kept on saying follow Dr's instructions, then I asked her to give Dr a call to double check for confirmation then dunno what the hell she said me.
I was very surprised that my voice was extremely loud - cant u juz give dr a call to confirm. She said me need not shout out loud & would call the security.
Well, be my guest, coz I didnt say vulgarities or whatever..then in rasied tone at her saying...I jus told u very nicely to give dr a call, u dun heed my advice.
Later she then called dr n say if med not enuf, take panadol. WTH!!!
Like that, I can be own dr & juz take anarex!! Need not waste time n money seeing specialist.

Am so sick
hvg the runs since fri's midnite, sat morning, diarrhea worsen till tdy. Ran thru my container of medicines, found magnesium trisillicate. Guess am hvg gastric flu, hvg the burns in my stomach, abdominal pains...v weak...took 10ml of it & felt better. Phew..

Self-lamination
