Injured toe

Injured toe for few days, didn't see GP. This morning smsed DNE Eunice & she called me up. She arranged for me to see podiatrist as emergency case coz am diabetic. I've cut my toe accidently when trying to snip off the side nail & blood oozing & pain.

Podiatrist cleaned & dressed my wound & bandaged it up nicely. Gave me antiseptic cream & extra big plaster.

Visit to Jurong Bird Park

Tdy, brought mother to Jurong Birdpark in the morning. Got the tix at half the price as it's NFC 2010, had the discount coupon. Enjoyed ourselves at the birds show, a nice long walk under the sunny hot sun.

Work

afternoon, snr mgr met me on competency & from the way she said it, it's like new DD giving pressure. Asked if can take more task & even cover my new collegue's executive role while she's away for maternity leave. What else can I say except, Yes, can.

If not, that means I dun fit into my job n dun meet even the basic competency, will be arrange to work at other dept. Kept bringing up on appraisal..
 
Asked if still gg for physio, my reply was, how to. When taking leave to go for physio, wasted, lagi not enough for my med appts. As the chinese saying goes - forcing tiger to jump over the wall.
 
Chasing on the backlog to have dateline with mgr n then said she understand that I helped out on new project rm application individually aint easy task, v time consuming. Sighz..
 
Kept on asking so now stress on financial but u guys din help at all, still ask for what. Tell me dun think am sick but I didn't. The pain juz like a bed of needles piercing thru my body. They just dun understand depression. She wanted to go for the depression workshop but was held up at a meeting. Snr mgr then mentioned, am not the only one with problem, she also has...fibroglymia.
 
I told her my indian colleague snr asst told her Sir - exec she's stress. I told her go see psychiatrist. Then snr mgr say I can be a psychiatrist.

General surgery appt

Went for appt general surgery today, Dr scheduled me for OGD & ultrasound. Nurse briefed me to take only 2 pieces of plain white bread, nothing with it, can drink kopi no milk, no diary products n fast at 10.30 am, no water at all till my OGD's over which was on 21st Jul 4.15p.m.!! Even when over, DNE Eunice advised to take plain porridge light meals...will be painful, so better follow instructions to pass it all at a go.

Ultrasound scheduled on 8th Jun 10.30 am, fast from nite but can drink water.

Dr told me maybe need to extract tissue for biospy but there's a risk there thou. Informing us beforehand.

Getting on my nerves!!

WTF, last night, neighbour's son shouting ghostly again way past 11pm at night. My other shouted v noisy but he continued doing so. My turn, stood at the window & SHOUTED BACK. WHAT TIME OREDI, TIME TO SLEEP DUN SLEEP, SHOUT & WHOO WHOO WHOO FOR WHAT!!!. Wow! Damn EFFECTIVE leh, he stopped immediately.

Am so TROUBLED

Nights of 2 wks, I couldn't fall asleep & awaken by neighbour's son whom's talking & laughing out loudly to himself even past 11p.m. at night. Oh ya, his mother told us before that his son 'got paper - mental illness' but I suppose his mother oso need to see psychiatrist. For months, always startled by her sudden loud screams which I could hear loud & clear from my living room!! She even talks to herself when no ones at home. Whole family CRAZY!!

Last night, had very adventurous yet weird dream about working in a secret lab, suddenly fire broke out due to explosion during experiment. Lead staffs to safety & found traitor. Running down stairs & snakes awaiting us. I was on a mini hummer then there was something like a beach with animals..then I woke up from it & felt extremely lethargic. This explains I didn't have a good deep sleep.

Migraine worsen even after I toook ergotamine with caffeine & felt excruciating pain on my shoulders & whole body which I couldn't tolerate, making me feel troubled. Am trying to suppress the inevitable thoughts as much as possible. Ever since wed 19/5, taking metformin glucophage xr 500mg, my mood is badly affected & ended up visiting GP for consecutive 2 wks!!

Chills, coldness, dizziness, diarrhea, gastric, feeling unwell, unable to think straight, extreme confusion affecting performance at work since wed 19 May along w/unusual weakness & fatigue. Disabling my functionality!! Oh SHIT! >_<

Cycled 6km

Juz now after dinner, went to nearby park & cycled for 6km. I really needed to go out n get some fresh air. Initial plan was to go catch movie but nice seats taken up. Ended up reading "Storm Born" & get tired.

Medications side effects

Wed & Thurs, I try on the new glucophage xr - metformin 500g which I was told to take after food in the morning. My expected worst fears really came. I had chills, coldness, dizziness, diarrhea, gastric, feeling unwell, unable to think straight, extreme confused that it badly affected me at work for these days. Moreover, I experience unusual weakness & fatgue!!

Thurs, I msged DNE Eunice informing her of the side effects & informed Dr Tan. I know Dr Tan & Eunie had my best of interest at heart but choosing between the two, I rather weight gain than to suffer from the side effects.

Eunice replied that so long my glucose under controlled & symptoms free, they're alright with it. As for weight gain, I have to continue with exercise regimen.

Side effects stopping me from going to work today, went see GP. Had a debate with GP then GP mentioned her church friend whom took glucophage xr, initially also unable to tolerate the side effects but knew it's good for her, then she took omeprazole to stop the gastric. GP told me to try it for at least 2 weeks & later said well, it's my choice, can;t force me. Oh ya!! That's why I choose to be back on glipizide 1/2 2.5mg morning & 1 2.5mg evening. I got feddup that I said Why you don't believe me that it's not I want to think of suicide when it's the medicine is controlling my mind!! Then GP kept quiet. WTF!!

Moreover, citing that the symptoms I told her doesn't correspond and the symptoms is what glipizide will have & not the glucophage. BUT THIS IS WHAT AM EXPERIENCING WITH THE GLUCOPHAGE XR!! >_<

Novel

Been a long time since I last read a novel till this book caught my attention "Storm Born" by Richelle Mead. Had enough of reading self-help books of late which bored me further that I decided to proceed to novels. It's about a girl fighting spirits whom later got fatal attraction from kerks.

Worriesome abt dad

During my sat's visit, I was very shocked to see my dad is so much slimmer than the previous time when I last visited him!! Dad told me that he didn't have his meals & he was extremely hungry, didn't eat enough. Suppose my dad fell asleep due to his parkinson & dementia that he tends to sleep most of the time & nurses didn't wake him up for his meals, how could that be?!

Dad told me to tell mother also that the nurses asked for coffee money before giving him coffee to drink. Told dad to ticked them off but dad dare not as he's afraid dunno what they might do to him. When we approached the nurses, the way they denied displayed guilty conscience. They never expect daddy to tell me. They said something to my dad in malay & dad replied back in a very angry tone..

A few times, when mother visited dad, saw them wanting dad to pluck the vegetables. Mother told the nurses already, not to let my dad do the task as his eyes can't see well & it's torturing him mentally & physically but still happens. If my dad wanted to sleep, just let him sleep as he didn't disturb the nurses at all.

On one account, dad brought up the matter to my attention that there's one nurse whom always said my dad's CPF got lotsa money.

It's worriesome for me as to whether my dad is really well taken care of or not. Plus medicine, did they give the actual dosage & no. of times per day.

Made Hotcakes

This morning, went to NTUC to get pancake flour to make some hotcakes. My 1st attempt was very successful! Of course, the 1st one was not so good, too browned..haha As I made some more, it just gets better.

Bought Betty Crokers pancake mix. 1 cup of pancake mix, 3/4 cup of milk, 2 eggs. Whisk till batter no crumbs. Depending on ur thickness of hotcake preferences, 2-5 tablespoons of mixture into non-stick pan. Make it a bit brown for more fragrance.

Terrible side effects from gliclazide 30mg

Wed 12/5, appt with endocinologist & told me he wanted to put me back on gliclazide & metformin. Glicazide which was given to me prev during inpatient was 50mg & on that fateful evening, while I was sleeping, out of sudden, I was shaking with icy sensation inside my body. Whole bed was rocking so shaky that it shocked the other patients too. Luckily, my mother hvn't went back home that time. I couldn't even talk nor eat & drink. What a horrible experience.


No choice, since glipizide making me hungry. Advised to take gliclazide 30mg 1st, see how it goes before next week to start on metformin glucophage xr 500mg as am hvg diarhea.

Simiar experience side effects experienced last night, ended up couldn't sleep at all! Sharp tingling sensation on my feet & palm, breathing oso cold. Feet, palms icy cold even when covered with blanket, thats the shity part!! Also, I was feeling famished but that couldn't be the case as I ate cereals with milk before bedtime. BG reading is 12 & it's not hypo range.

This morning, I msged my DNE nurse mgr about it. Advised to stop the gliclazide & back on glipizide 1st. If need be, to contact my endocrinologist. I called but he didnt take call hence left msg via operator. Till now, yet to receive call from him. He oso knw he's in deep shit hor, told him I dun wish to have history repeat itself as it's affecting me badly at work.

Luckily, thurs 13/5 appt with Dr Lee, told her meanwhile to put on hold hvg me on mood stabilizer as am hvg new meds - gliclazde, metformin & sangobion.

Today, went see GP, told me becoz I didnt take nutritious & proper meals hence my iron level is low. Citing I should take more greeny veges & red meats but am taking all these, how could it be?

Sangobion had to be taken with fruits too in order for more absorbment.

Appts today

Tdy's session with Dr Lee was nice one. Wow! Dr Lee's smiling v beautiful today!!! Told her abt HR new policy & very nice of her to help me by hvg appt in the afternoon & see me in 6 wks time. Oso becoz yesterday Dr Tan changed new meds for me, so next appt then add on mood stabilizer.

After that, went LFC for apt with Winny my counsellor. Had a nice session & she's interested in eating disorder. Told me she oso binges but I said she's so slim, ok. Teased her later she become eating disorder psychologist. She oso learnt something from me & that she made a S.M.A.R.T plan for me...lol...she'll see me in 2 wks time.

Appt at DBC

Whole day at DBC, what a day & one of the nurse made me damn angry & I told the nurse mgr whom ticked her off directly. Gave nurse mgr face de..Dr Tan wanted to put me back on metformin then ok lor, this time is Glucophage XR 500mg, take 1/2 tab 1st next week till my diarhea stopped. In addition, Diamicron MR Gliclazide 30mg.

To take Gliclazide tmr 1st for a wk, if no side effects, then to start 1/2 500mg of Glucophage.

Was given Sangobion for lack of haemoglobin. As I always felt so tired & almost fainted but I try not to collapse plus recent blood count test shows it.

My BP was 135/62, v abnormal for me to have both readings with high a bit high, low a bit lower than usual. Felt extremely lethargic, headaches, not much concentration...etc.

SAF counsellor workshop on Depression

Went for talk on depression held at workplace, speaker Samantha from SAF counselling dept. I like it when she mentioned that sufferers don't like people telling them just to snap out of it & asking why you need to go for so many appts. Hopefully, the HR snr mgr will have a bit of better understand of depression coz I don't pin much hope that the rest of them really truely apprehend depression under he/she went thru it before.

At MPS last night

Yesterday went to MPS side for simple dinner, there's chicken nugget, fishball & fried mee with & without chilli. I went for 2nd round of mee with chilli, extremely delicious!

Went back home, took shower, went over to find my 'zhan zhao' there attending to 'clients'.

A brief chat with Mrs Tharman & she cited I had talent in writing & that to continue with it. Remembering I have a wonderful mother & when I wanted to let her know I had a wonderful Mrs Tharman, I was interrupted. Am glad she likes the bookmark I made for her. Mrs Tharman wanted to hear it from me personally "Yes, I promise" not to jump off building.

Happy Mother's Day 2010

Juz now I've handmade some bookmarks using hama beads. One for Mrs Tharman, the butterfly one. Went dwnstairs to get shiny silver ribbon & tie it. After that, proceed to CC to see what kind of Mother's Day celebration. Surprised to see it's muslim celeb.

Anyway, went to office to query about the online quiz which I entered for mother & won a pair of GV movie but the staff said dunno.

After that, saw the camera, hey! Looks like Mrs Tharman's car!! Rush out of office & there I saw Mrs Tharman!! OOpz..I got so excited & happy that I shouted too LOUD to mother that it's Mrs Tharman!! Shook hands & she was elated to see me.hehe Same color clothings too. Good opportunity in time to give her the pressie.

Went to have blood test

Blood test this morning, upon reaching, found that the lab clinic under renovation. Asked around, they kept saying it's opp kopi's cafe but I couldn't find it. Plus the arrows anyhow pont direction too which even points to the x-ray clinic next to kopi's cafe. Btw, am not the only one who was being misled by the so called directions. I went to bio lab & was angry when the staff nurse told me very easy, just opp kopi's cafe. My reply was, yes, but unable to locate due to the arrows pointing directionless!! Can someone juz bring me there as am diabetes & fasting blood sugar & am feeling fainting oredi! The counter staff was kind enough to show it to me. I said alamak! Glass door closed plus there should be a big sign board displayed directly juz outside the entrance mah!!

There's old ppl oso asking around, got one peh peh, asked me, I point to the direction, wow! Peh peh can even walk so much faster than I leh! lol..

After tking blood, I quickly took a sweet 1st & headed to Blk 4 kopitiam, order set E & had to wait so long. Feddup, kopi not nice, wait for toast so long...till my turn, bread not hot plus butter din fill the bread, hvnt eat oso TL oredi.

Took bus 33 to Tiong Bahru & bought some pastry plus egg tarts for mother. Guess the chef at chinatown bakes so much nicer. haha...

Went to see GP this morning, surprised to see my usual GP & I told her abt her substitute doc, sexual harrassment. GP told me her colleague married with 7 kids leh but all the more am scared of her & why she pressed on my arms when taking my BP & then wear the clothings till her assests can be seen v clearly. GP said her colleague is very different & that she wears low cut..

Dinner, I made some of my very own potato croquette with ham & fill it with bbq flavoured cheese. Wow!! Very delicious lor..

Mgmt of BG

Last night, DNE Eunice called to inform me that she had spoken with Dr Tan, my endocrinologist about my recent BG readings. He wanted my sugar level to be around 6-8 for pre-meals for safety purpose due to ear infection, now to take one 2.5mg glipizide before dinner on top of my usual half 2.5mg before breakfast till he see me next week. Maybe during outpatient, he might change medicine for me as I always keep feeling very hungry.

Moreover  am anaemia, maybe he will prescribed me iron too.

Eunice asked whether I got guai guai & where am I. I was at home..then she said, oh..v guai. So I asked her got reward or not, she said yes! hmmz..wondering what was that?

Extremely tired with migraine attack

Am extremely tired & woken up by loud noises...eyes so weary felt like sleeping agin. Attacked with migraine again...aww...what a day..My ear infection v pain. OUCH!!

Last night, had a nice time out at SIX. However, I was like so 'inactive'. -_-!!
